This
is a full-day tour with lunch, combining The Bosphorus by Ferry
and Asian Istanbul tours.
After
a short visit to the famous Egyptian
Spice Bazaar, this unforgettable excursion takes
you along the Bosphorus, the enormous strait that runs between
the continents, Europe and Asia.
The
cruise affords excellent sea views of the last palaces of the
Ottomans, Dolmabahce and Beylerbeyi, as well as
the beautiful wooden kiosks from the 19th and early 20th centuries,
mansions and modern villas, giving the visitor a glimpse of
former and modern day Istanbul elegance along the Bosphorus.
The
cruise ends with a visit to the fascinating "Sadberk
Hanim Museum", dedicated to ethnology.
After
lunch, you will be driven to the Asian side of Istanbul, across
the Intercontinental Bosphorus Bridge. The first stop
in Asian Istanbul is at Camlica Hill, for a panoramic
view of Istanbul. Then, you will visit the beautifully preserved
Beylerbeyi Palace, the summer
residence of the Ottoman Sultans, with its period furniture
and magnificent gardens. Then, a visit to Uskudar, famous
for its old mosques and mausoleums.
Please
note: The Egyptian Spice Bazaar is closed on
Sundays, therefore, this part of the cruise will not be available
on Sundays; the Ethnological Museum is closed on Wednesdays,
and so, on Wednesdays, this portion of the cruise will not be
available. Beylerbeyi Palace is closed on Mondays and
Thursdays, so visits to the Palace will not be made on this
tour during those days.
