Who
could apply for a membership?
If
your work in the global travel industry, we welcome you as one
our members. From travel agents to suppliers, travel educators
to travel students, all could benefit through their membership.
Membership is structured with a company membership as a base,
but we track each time the name of the person who actually makes
the reservation. We will surprise the actual sales represantatives
at an unexpected time. It might depend to the number of bookings
made or any other criteria. Therefore, you should enter your
name at every single booking.
To
qualify as a Travel Agency, your company has to...
(1) have any required licenses or registration to operate a
travel agency and able to supply it to us;
(2) operate with the intention of making a profit from the travel
agency business;
(3) have the sale of travel services to the public as its primary
business;
(4) conduct the majority of its business in an agency-principal
relationship with suppliers;
(5) be an Active Member of at least one of the Internationaly
recognized Travel Associations.(e.g. ASTA, PATA, JATA, SITE...)
To
qualify as a Tour Operator, your company has to...
(1) have any required licenses or registration to be a Tour
Operator and able to supply it to us;
(2) operate with the intention of making a profit from the travel
business;
(3) have the sale of travel services to the travel agencies
as its primary business;
(4) conduct the majority of its business in an agency-principal
relationship with suppliers;
(5) be an Active Member of at least one of the Internationaly
recognized Travel Associations.(e.g. ASTA, PATA, JATA, SITE...)
To
qualify as a Future Travel Professional, an individual must...
(1) Be enrolled in school for a travel and/or hospitality career;
and proove this;
(2) Not be a professional travel agent;
To
qualify as a travel school, an organization must...
(1) Educate and train individuals for a career in the travel
industry and proove this;
(2) Meet any accreditation standards of the jurisdiction in
which it is located;
(3) Support the continued improvement of the travel agency industry;
(4) Not be eligible for any other category of membership.
To
qualify as an Independent Member, an individual must...
(1) Be an independent contractor serving as an outside sales
representative for one or more Travel Agency or Tour Operator.
(2) Have his/her status verified by the Official representative
of one such member firm
or be an Member of at least one of the Internationaly recognized
Travel Associations.(e.g. ASTA, PATA, JATA, SITE...)
or
(3) Be primarily engaged in providing products, services or
information sold or used by travel agencies.
