Gloria Golf Resort is set in pine forests at the foot of the Taurus
mountains having access to the beach via a bridge over the Acisu
river. The Golf Course was opened on 1 September 1997. It was
designed under the supervision of the famous French designer Michael
Gayan and the Belgian JNC International Company, to suit the Mediterranean
climate and impress even the most demanding golfer. The golf course
itself is situated in the pine forest of Belek, at the foot of
Taurus mountains. It is the first and only resort in Turkey featuring
its on-site golf course, and pleasure of playing on their own
private course will be exclusive to its guests and members.
Host
to the 1998 and 2000 Beko Classic European Seniors Tournament,
the luxurious five-star Gloria Golf Resort has completed major
improvements to its on-site championship golf course . The
course spans an area of 772,000 square metres. There is a minimum
compulsory handicap of 28 for men and 36 for women for using this
course. The tees are white, yellow, blue and red. There are 63
16,000 square metre bunkers and 7 artificial lakes. You will find
that this 18-hole, 72 - stroke, 6296 metres long course, each
hole will pose an exciting challenge.
The
3-hole academy course is an ideal practice area for beginners.
The Club House is tastefully decorated and features a restaurant
, bar and pro-shop. The Club Restaurant and Harvey's Bar are there
to meet all your catering needs. In addition to this there is
the Lobby, fireplace, education room and dressing room for the
golf guests. There are also regular shuttle services for golf
players from the reception to the Golf Course.
